Mehbooba Madness – Nucleya by Nucleya

“I dont know of anyone else in the Asian Electronica Movement that can rework classics like Nucleya. Bass thumping goodness with a splash of familiarity is ‘Mehbooba Madness’. If you have grown up with Bollywood then you will know this tune from ‘Sholay’ but you will never be able to predict how its going to drop !”

Nucleya’s Horn OK Please Album OUT NOW on SA RE GA MA India.

By in Bollywood, Bollywood News, Consolidated, Horn OK Please, Releases

This album is a venture by Nucleya towards a new direction of Bollywood Remix culture. His aim is to push Bollywood music to the international dance music charts, by inventing a cutting-edge blend of  new-generation electronic music and everlasting Bollywood tracks.
Nucleya is truly thankful to Sa Re Ga Ma for providing him the privilege to use the original tracks and a platform to present his musical creativity and vision for the futuristic sounds in the realm of Bollywood.
He is very hopeful and optimistic about Horn Ok Please and is awaiting to see everyone dance to his tunes.

What some of the best Dj’s have to say about the album :

Udyan aka Nucleya is the face behind evolving bollywood dance music, presenting a new dimension and breathing fresh sounds and an innovative international style, Horn OK Please is the “NOW” of bollywood remixes and a “must buy”

Nasha aka B.R.E.E D – India

” A major breakthrough in the Indian Mainstream Remix Culture . Its an album that takes Bollywood Remixes to a new level with brand new sounds and vibe. Brilliantly produced. Big ups ! ”

DJ NYK – India

Nucleya’s biggest achievement on this album is his fusing of his optimal underground electronica sensibilities with mainstream compositions of yesteryear. Each of the original songs are classics in their own right and most are considered semi-sacred to the Bollywood purist — from Bappi Lahiri’s we-don’t-know-if-he’s-taking-the-piss title theme of 1982′s cult status, rags-to-riches tale Disco Dancer to the R.D. Burman composed ode to highly suspect substances (picturized by the inimitable Zeenat Aman swaying in ecstasy), “Dum Maro Dum”. Both of these tracks and original vocal samples are given Nucleya’s finest 4/4 meets dirty synth treatment.

Horn OK Please shows us that there has been no scarcity of remix-friendly Bollywood music — it just took someone as cutting edge and innovative as Nucleya to bring it to us, and our soft power is better off for it.

Shree Sreenivasan - EthnoTechno.com

“Bollywood remixes like you’ve never experienced. Loaded with unforgiving basslines and dirty cutting edge electronica, Nucleya has certainly pushed the boundaries in new directions with HORN OK PLEASE.”

Sanjay Kundalia : nadabrahman.wordpress.com

Just as music has helped evolve architecture and usher in political movements, Udyan Sagar a.k.a Nucleya’s soon to be released EP ‘Horn Ok Please’ is set to revolutionize the worlds biggest film industry. This is because ‘Horn Ok Please’ is the perfect marriage between the Asian Underground and the commercial Bollywood arena. Its a pristine production that is current and relevant to 21st century youth culture and dance-floors globally.

So how will this change Bollywood ? Well once you have a Bollywood Electronic soundscape, like ‘Horn Ok Please’, then dancing in canola fields and imitating cheesy MTV pop videos will not work anymore. A true organic on-screen environment for Bollywood Electronica will require directors to take a different approach in cinematography and scripting altogether. Directors will have to journey deep into ‘Horn Ok Please’ and feel the story its telling of youth all across the world wobbling on dance floors from Berlin to Boston to Bombay. This is the story of a generation that doesn’t process foreign languages, rather they move to a universal energy.

‘Horn Ok Please’ is a multi-colored truck that rips through the back-alleys of Bollywood capturing all its classic hits and then accelerates to 128 BPM. Pushing the boundaries of where Bollywood will be heard; which is now worldwide on dance-floors everywhere.

Umar Akbar : chaiwallasboombox.com

So its starts with an email…then a phone call and then a beat via email….and there you go – The formula to get a track done without ever meeting each other.

Its crazy how easy the internet has made it to connect with artists that are close to 12,000 km away from you.
Case and point -> Nucleya and MC JD (myself) for the track Dum Maro Dum (Album “Horn Ok Please”). This track was a banger from the beginning.
I was introduced to Nucleya through a mutual friend by the name of Nuphlo (aka. Manny from Leeds) from the Nasha collective. He advised me that a producer from Mumbai/Goa needed an MC. Me, being an MC, much obliged. After the initial contact there was a musical chemistry and natural vibe that comes along with all South Asian electronic fanatics – This was no different.
Once I had received the riddim for Dum Maro Dum I knew what had to be done. The vision that Nucleya had when making the beat was exactly what i envisioned in words.
You could call it a musical utopia of sorts – a perfect match.
So that being said and done, I laced the vocals for the track in my studio (The Devils Lair, in Brampton, Ontario, Canada) and emailed the vocals back to Nucleya. A week later we had a mash up of electronic-dubstep-bollywood mashup.
This track is the beginning of more to come!
Big up my man Nucleya for the opportunity to work on a great project and I hope to be in India soon.

MC JD – Canada – features on the track “Dum Maro Dum”

“Horn Ok Please” is the next level of Indian Bollywood music and definitely Nucleya has the vision to take Indian commercial music to another level. The bass heavy remixes with crunchy beats mixed with Bollywood is a great combination which is a rare approach done in that part of world. Definitely this would educate and benefit South Asia’s musical culture and will let the world know that we are not left behind”

iSIDE  - DUBAI

Nucleya proves with ‘Horn Ok Please’ what a prolific and versatile producer he has become !

What’s being said about Nucleya? :

“Nucleya has the vision and pedigree to take Indian electronic music to another level alongside all his contemporaries.  His science friction approach to the music of the sub-continent somehow seems benefitting for a country and a musical culture that is coming of age.  Essential listening!”

“Beat 1″ and the re-vamped dubstep version of “Pragat Pritam” by Goa’s Nucleya rockin’ my world right now. The most innovative Asian artist of the past 1 year.

Pragat Pritam – Nucleya

– Shree Sreenivasan : ethnotechno.com

Nucleya manages to capture a unique, exploratory vibe defying the cheesy saturated Bollywood norms. This is all bolstered by the equally trippy, electronic pieces he handcrafts so passionately. Nucleya’s futuristic electro-mental sound reinforces the fact that the EDM music scene in India is not one to be overlooked any time soon.

- Saad Chisty : dfwthebeat.com

I dont know of anyone else in the Asian Electronica Movement that can rework classics like Nucleya. Bass thumping goodness with a splash of familiarity is ‘Mehbooba Madness’. If you have grown up with Bollywood then you will know this tune from ‘Sholay’ but you will never be able to predict how its going to drop !

Blouse Arouse : Nucleya – Free Track :)

By in Bollywood, Bollywood News, Consolidated, FREE MUSIC, Releases, Underground

Quote taken from : http://chaiwallasboombox.com/asian-scene/blouse-arouse-2/

Blouse Arouse by Nucleya is an out of this world remake of “Choli Ke Peecha”(Whats behind that Blouse), from the classic 90‘s Bollywood film “Khalnayak”

The lyrics of this track stirred controversy when the film was initially released and since then it has become a cult classic. Though in 2010, what once aroused us by its suggestive lyrics has turned into a series of sound explosions by Nucleya. Once you press play on this beast you will suffer minor hearing impairment. Though this “Soundwave Bomb” is more sophisticated then just blowing you away at once, it comes in three stages. The first explosion is when you press play and it breaks you into tiny pieces of flesh, the second explosion in 2 minutes will turn your matter into gas and the final explosion in 3 1/2 minutes will vaporize you.

So go ahead, get aroused and press play.
